4-Day Foundational Certification TrainingÂ
This intensive four-day Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) Certification Training provides therapists with the foundational knowledge and practical skills to work effectively with emotion in psychotherapy. Participants will learn to assess different types of emotional processes and understand their role in psychological distress, and use evidence-based, marker-guided interventions to facilitate meaningful and lasting therapeutic change.
Through didactic lectures on therapy demonstrated by examples using real therapy videos, video discussions of therapist intervention and client process, case discussions, and extensive supervised practice in small breakout groups, participants develop both a conceptual understanding of EFT and practical experience applying core EFT interventions from the beginning of their training.
*Please note that full attendance and active participation are required to receive a certificate of completion.
 Who should attend: Licensed psychologists, registered psychotherapists, social workers, marriage and family therapists, counsellors, other regulated mental health professionals, and graduate students in a clinical or counselling program.

- This program is presented by the Greenberg Institute of Emotion Focused Therapy. Continuing education credits are sponsored and overseen by our parent organization the Centre for Psychology and Emotional Health
- The Centre for Psychology and Emotional Health (parent company to the Greenberg Institute of Emotion Focused Therapy) is approved by the Canadian Psychological Association to offer continuing education for psychologists. The Centre for Psychology and Emotional Health maintains responsibility for the program.

Approval relates only to the ability to sponsor continuing education activities. It is not accreditation of the sponsor organization. Accreditation is reserved for formal educational training (graduate and internship) programs and is administered through the Registrar for the Office of Accreditation. CPA has no legal or financial obligations to either approved sponsors or to those individuals registered for sponsors’ continuing education activities.
Refund & Cancellation Policy for Certified EFT Trainings
Cancelling 30 days or more prior to the start of a training:
- Refund:Â Full refund will be processed, minus a $200 administrative fee
or
- Transfer:Â Full payment will be transferred to a future Emotion Focused Therapy Training Institute. You may transfer your payment to another EFT training institute one time.
Cancelling after 30 days prior to the start of a training:
- Refund:Â No refund
- Transfers:No transfers to another EFT Training Institute
The Centre for Psychology and Emotional Health has the right to cancel or reschedule any Emotion Focused Therapy Training Institutes. In the event that the Centre for Psychology and Emotional Health needs to cancel or reschedule an upcoming EFT Training Institute, you will have the option to either receive a full refund, or transfer the full training fee to another available training
